Raccoon Behavior – Not so sweet and cuddly

This video is not the quality that I would have liked for it to have been but when your hand is accessible to the raccoon and it is obviously bothered by your presence you get a little jumpy. If I was scratched or bitten it would require a series of shots to follow up for rabies. That is no fun!
The point is that they look cute but the are in fact WILD ANIMALS and will fend for themselves and especially for their young. Don’t put your guard down and try to pet one or feed one.
